Stirling Engine

Testing Day Performance

The rendered SolidWorks CAD model

1/3
As part of my course in Machine Design and Manufacturing (MEAM 201), I designed, manufactured and assembled a fully functioning gamma-type Stirling Engine. I was responsible for creating 20+ custom parts out of 6061 aluminum, brass and steel. This project was incredibly influential in giving me the ability to understand the functionality of common manufacturing processes, such as the manual and CNC mills, the manual lathe, bandsaws, angle-grinder, drill press, etc.
